Head of Training Delivery – Targeting College

About the role

The Defence Intelligence Academy is seeking a Head of Training Delivery for its Targeting College. You will lead the design, management and delivery of targeting education and training for UK Defence, partners across government and international allies. The role is based at RAF Wyton with regular travel to other defence sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of targeting courses to Defence Intelligence, single Service counterparts and wider defence partners.
• Manage a team responsible for professional, effective and efficient training delivery across Defence organisations.
• Provide subject‑matter expert advice and guidance on targeting doctrine and processes.
• Oversee trainee welfare, discipline and compliance with Academy policies.
• Coordinate course administration with the Training Management Group.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of UK targeting enterprise, Joint Service Publications and the Defence Systems Approach to Training (JSP 822).
• Travel regularly to sites such as Hermitage, Chicksands and other locations to deliver training.

Required profile

• Experience within the UK targeting enterprise or a closely related defence field.
• Strong understanding of Joint Service Publications (JSPs) and UK intelligence organisation structures.
• Familiarity with the Defence Systems Approach to Training (JSP 822) and experience in training delivery or management in a defence context.
• Ability to work on‑site at least 80 % of the week and manage a multidisciplinary team.
