Hire Desk Controller

About the role

The Hire Desk Controller will manage daily operations of the hire desk for a company on the outskirts of Horsham. You will handle customer queries, prepare accurate sales‑hire quotations and ensure smooth order processing.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer quotations and orders
• Maintain and update the hire database and send order confirmations
• Raise off‑hire, on‑hire and examination jobs for engineers
• Answer and service incoming client calls regarding quotations, orders and pricing
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business
• Support the sales team by completing quotes, identifying new hire opportunities and assisting with customer‑related tasks
• Liaise regularly with the service team and engineers

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Hire Desk, sales support or quotation/order management role, preferably within engineering, construction or manufacturing
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

What we offer

• Salary £30,000‑£32,000 per year
• Office‑based role with parking available
• Full‑time hours 8:00 am‑5:00 pm, Monday‑Friday
• Own transport required due to rural location
