Homelessness Prevention Tenancy Relations Officer

About the role

The Homelessness Prevention Tenancy Relations Officer will join the Homelessness, Independence and Prevention Service (HIPS) to provide specialist advice and advocacy for private‑rented tenants at risk of eviction, repossession, disrepair or landlord harassment. Working both in‑person and remotely, you will be at the frontline of preventing homelessness across the London Borough of Hounslow.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality tenancy advice to private‑rented households facing housing difficulties.
• Attend possession hearings to provide on‑the‑day triage, advice and advocacy for tenants.
• Maintain a caseload of tenants while supporting the wider HIPS team on tenancy issues.
• Provide remote and face‑to‑face support, ensuring timely and accurate information is given.
• Collaborate with internal partners and external agencies to resolve tenancy problems.
