HR Advisor – Health and Social Care

About the role

We are seeking a proactive HR Advisor to join Glenholme Specialist Healthcare in Peterborough. Reporting to the Head of People, you will provide customer‑focused HR support across the group, helping to maintain a positive workplace culture and ensure high‑quality care through sound people practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely advice on employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance, flexible working and wellbeing.
• Prepare HR documentation, support formal meetings, hearings and investigations, and ensure consistent case management.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems and produce reports on absence, turnover and workforce metrics.
• Support organisational change processes such as restructures and consultations.
• Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and healthcare regulations, and support policy implementation and review.
• Promote equality, diversity and inclusion and assist with audits and compliance activities.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 5 qualification (essential).
• Proven experience as an HR Advisor or generalist handling employee relations independently.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience in a regulated or fast‑paced environment, preferably healthcare.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and judgement skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and strong organisational abilities.

Required skills

What we offer

• Competitive salary £27,000–£30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
• Full‑time permanent role (09:00 – 17:30) with occasional travel between sites.
