HR Generalist – Employee Relations & Recruitment

About the role

The HR Generalist will support all UK employees throughout the employee life‑cycle for a leading manufacturing and engineering business. You will provide high‑quality guidance on recruitment, retention, performance, and employee relations while acting as the first point of contact for managers on ER matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews and off‑boarding processes.
• Provide day‑to‑day employee relations support and act as the primary ER contact.
• Deliver training and coaching sessions on HR policies, processes and initiatives.
• Advise managers and staff on compliance, GDPR and data‑management practices.
• Maintain accurate HR records and support HR system administration.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 5 qualification.
• Strong adaptability and willingness to tackle new challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of GDPR and data‑management requirements.
• Organised with a proactive approach.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office
• Experience with HR systems (preferable)
