HR Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and motivated HR Officer to join our expanding HR function. You will deliver high‑quality HR services, support managers and staff on a wide range of people matters, and contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment processes, including pre‑employment checks and talent attraction activities.
• Provide expert support on employee relations, health & safety, grievances, disciplinary matters, long‑term absence and employment tribunals.
• Lead the design and delivery of learning and development initiatives to build capability.
• Oversee relationships with health service providers, coordinating occupational health referrals and wellbeing support.
• Develop and manage pay and reward frameworks, including negotiations, allowances and recognition schemes.
• Deliver HR advisory services through the HR Business Liaison Unit, ensuring consistent policy application.
• Drive operational standards as an Operational Standards Coach and Assessor, supporting quality assurance for investigations and intelligence.
• Partner with leaders to embed talent strategies, performance conversations and structured development programmes.
