Human Resources Assistant – Level 3 HR Apprentice

About the role

Join Alkegen’s HR team as a Human Resources Assistant on a Level 3 apprenticeship. You will support HR operations in a busy manufacturing environment while developing professional skills through a structured learning programme.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the HR team and maintain accurate employee records.
• Assist with recruitment activities, including posting adverts, scheduling interviews and preparing onboarding documentation.
• Act as the first point of contact for basic HR queries and guide employees on HR processes.
• Support employee‑relations processes such as absence, disciplinary and grievance case administration.
• Help organise training sessions, maintain learning records and coordinate development activities.
• Enter and update information in HR systems, ensure data accuracy and assist with basic HR data analysis.
• Prepare relevant data for payroll processing under supervision.

Required profile

• School leaver eager to start a career in Human Resources.
• Interest in working within a manufacturing setting.
• Willingness to learn and develop through the apprenticeship programme.

Required skills

• Experience or familiarity with HR systems such as Workday.
• Ability to perform HR data entry and maintain accurate records.
• Basic data analysis skills.
• Capability to prepare payroll‑related data.
