About the role
Fiveways School is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic teacher to join a highly supportive and reflective teaching team. The role is full‑time and starts in September 2026, offering the chance to work in a vibrant special‑needs environment where safeguarding and pupil voice are central.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess lessons tailored to pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) or severe learning difficulties (SLD).
- Collaborate with colleagues, therapists and families to ensure a holistic approach to each pupil’s development.
- Maintain rigorous safeguarding standards and contribute to a culture of respect and inclusion.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, including training on proven interventions and therapeutic practice.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) with a minimum of one SEN point.
- Early‑career teachers (ECTs) are welcome.
- Experience or strong interest in working within PMLD/SLD settings is desirable.
- Commitment to the ethos of valuing every contribution and working collaboratively.
