Interim Head of Finance

About the role

An exclusive opportunity has arisen within a London‑based family office to lead its finance function on an interim basis for 12‑15 months. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Principal, General Counsel and Investment team, you will provide senior financial leadership across accounting, tax, treasury and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of financial accounting and reporting across a multi‑entity, close‑company structure.
• UK tax compliance, including corporation tax, employer tax obligations and VAT.
• Treasury and cash management for all group entities, including a loan refinancing of a private asset.
• Oversight of financial systems, office management and broader governance processes.
• Manage, develop and upskill the finance team.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial input on specific investments.
• Support the principal’s personal tax and cash matters in collaboration with external advisors.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Senior finance leadership experience, ideally within a family office, private investment structure or similar multi‑entity environment.
• Comfortable operating hands‑on in a lean team, from reviewing statutory accounts to negotiating banking facilities and presenting to the Board.
