Interim Head of People – 12 Month Contract

About the role

An established retail brand is looking for an experienced Interim Head of People to lead its People and Talent agenda for a 12‑month fixed‑term. Reporting to the executive team, you will shape strategy, drive performance and embed a high‑performing culture across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a holistic People Strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee Talent Acquisition, Business Partnering, Reward and People Operations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing commercial insight for decision‑making.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing People team.
• Drive large‑scale change, transformation and operational excellence initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in HR within retail or hospitality environments.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Track record of leading large‑scale change and transformation projects.
• Data‑driven decision‑making with a focus on measurable impact.
