Interim HR Advisor / HR Business Partner (3‑month contract)

About the role

This is a three‑month interim position supporting two strategic HR initiatives in a fast‑moving organisation undergoing major change. You will work closely with senior leaders, influencing decisions that shape the company’s talent framework and organisational structure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead an organisation‑wide change programme, including restructuring, redundancy consultations, departmental downsizing and potential business area closures.
• Manage consultation processes, prepare supporting documentation and advise senior stakeholders on UK employment law and employee‑relations matters.
• Ensure all change activities are delivered fairly, professionally and in full compliance with legal requirements.
• Drive the implementation of a business‑wide competency framework: conduct capability assessments, identify skills gaps, develop career pathways and integrate the framework with performance‑management processes.
• Provide recommendations on future talent, reward strategies and organisational development.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering HR projects, restructures and redundancy programmes, preferably in a generalist capacity.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and employee‑relations best practice.
• Experience implementing competency, capability or skills frameworks.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders while balancing strategic and operational demands.
• Highly organised, commercially minded and comfortable working autonomously.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent experience is advantageous.
