IT Operations Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Engineer to join our Internal IT team. The role is hybrid, with three days a week on‑site at one of our UK offices, and involves supporting a wide range of technologies that keep the business running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve internal IT incidents and service requests across Microsoft 365, Windows client devices, identity and access management, networking, security tools, infrastructure and business applications.
• Act as an escalation point for junior team members and share knowledge to raise support quality.
• Maintain system hygiene, documentation, ticket ownership and communication.
• Support information‑security commitments in line with ISO 27001 processes.
• Build strong relationships across the Group to ensure IT is seen as approachable and commercially aware.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an IT Operations or similar role, comfortable working across multiple technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a user‑focused, practical approach.
• Ability to commute to a UK office and have personal transport.
• Willingness to work on‑site three days a week and travel occasionally to other UK locations.

• Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive).
• Azure cloud services.
• Identity and Access Management (Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID).
• Windows 11 client devices.
• Networking fundamentals and security tools.
• Endpoint management and infrastructure support.
