Jersey Designer

About the role

White Stuff is looking for a creative Jersey Designer to shape distinctive, trend‑led jersey collections across casual and formal wear. You will work closely with the Jersey Assistant Designer, turning seasonal concepts into commercially viable products that reflect the brand’s playful personality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop seasonal jersey top ranges from concept through final sample, covering sweats, rugby shirts, and printed tops.
• Research trends, colours, fabrics and silhouettes, translating insights into fresh, commercial designs.
• Create mood boards, colour palettes and design sketches aligned with the seasonal direction.
• Produce accurate CADs and detailed tech packs using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Collaborate with Buying, Technical and other Design teams to ensure a cohesive product offering.
• Liaise with suppliers to develop jersey fabrics and samples, maintaining quality and design integrity.
• Attend fit sessions, review proto samples and make necessary adjustments.
• Assist in preparing seasonal presentations and range boards for internal and external meetings.
• Monitor sales and customer feedback to refine future collections.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fashion design with a focus on jersey apparel tops, including authentic washes and printed pieces.
• Strong technical understanding of jersey fabric properties, construction and garment finishing.
• Excellent eye for print detail and fabric mixing.
• Portfolio showcasing creative yet commercially relevant jersey designs, both plain and printed.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
