Joiner - Truck and Trailer Fleet Refits

About the role

EMS Group is looking for a joiner based in Saltney, reporting to the Fleet Readiness Manager. The role supports the ongoing programme of re-fits, repairs and refurbishment of truck and trailer fleet interiors and exteriors, working on site within the Production department.

Key responsibilities

• Work with other trades in a supporting role, carrying out general first-fix and second-fix joinery
• Insulate and build internal wall construction on new builds
• Order materials for builds from technical drawings
• Paint and maintain the chassis, wheels and associated kit for deployments
• Paint doors, doorframes and woodwork
• Install suspended ceilings
• Install Dibond walkways and external walkways

Required profile

• Essential: experience as a time-served joiner
• Understanding of site safety
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Proven problem-solving ability
• Preferable: ability to manage multiple tasks to a high standard on time, with organisational skills and flexible planning
• Full UK residency, valid driving licence and suitable transport (public transport not recommended); able to travel throughout the UK and overseas if required

• Basic computer skills
