Key Account Director – Healthcare

About the role

Elis UK Limited is seeking a Key Account Director – Healthcare to lead commercial performance for its regional contract portfolio in South East England. The role will own revenue growth, customer satisfaction and long‑term contract success, working closely with operational and local account teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse existing contracts and identify development opportunities.
• Define customer‑specific objectives, KPIs and performance measures.
• Lead negotiations on contract extensions, optimisation, expansions and pricing adjustments.
• Build strong relationships with key decision‑makers and stakeholders.
• Implement a structured planned‑calling system and analyse lost business to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead renewal activity, manage client risk and oversee tender processes for the portfolio.
• Identify and pursue growth opportunities, develop strategic account plans and manage high‑value specialist projects.

Required profile

• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to influence at all levels and build effective relationships.
• Commercially minded with strong analytical and strategic thinking.
• Demonstrable track record in sales, key account management or customer service within healthcare or a service industry.
• Experience managing multiple large accounts and new business development.
• Coaching leadership style with ability to motivate teams.
• High attention to detail while keeping the bigger picture.
• Educated to degree level or NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent experience).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of SOL and AX systems (desirable).
• IT literate.
