KS2 Teacher - September

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic KS2 (Year 4) teacher to join a well‑regarded primary school in Wigan from September until at least December. The role is full‑time and temporary, offering the chance to deliver engaging lessons within a supportive team that values staff wellbeing and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, curriculum‑aligned lessons for Year 4 pupils.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting work to individual abilities.
• Collaborate closely with fellow teachers and teaching assistants to support learning.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages participation.
• Contribute to the school’s broader educational objectives and wellbeing initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – NQTs and ECTs are welcome to apply.
• Recent experience working with primary‑age children, preferably within KS2.
• Enthusiasm for delivering fun, engaging lessons.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and support inclusive learning.

Required skills

• Lesson planning and delivery for KS2 curriculum.
• Assessment and differentiation techniques.
• Basic understanding of SEN considerations (desirable).
