Legal Project Executive

About the role

The Legal Project Executive will join the Legal Operations and Project Management (LOPM) team in London, supporting lawyers and clients to deliver legal work more efficiently. You will work closely with lawyers, operations teams and senior stakeholders on a variety of client matters and internal initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, tracking and delivery of client matters and internal projects using legal project management approaches.
• Monitor timelines, risks, dependencies and deliverables, providing clear progress updates.
• Facilitate meetings, record actions and follow‑up responsibilities.
• Assist with budget tracking, time recording and simple financial reporting.
• Identify efficiency opportunities and contribute to cost‑control initiatives.
• Apply project‑management tools, collaborate with the Legal Tech team and support process‑mapping activities.
• Build effective relationships with lawyers, business services and other stakeholders, adapting communication style as needed.
• Use Excel and other tools to track performance metrics and produce clear reports.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience supporting projects or similar work, preferably in a law firm (other professional services considered).
• Strong interest in legal project management, operations or improving work delivery.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confident communicator who can adapt approach for different audiences.
• Collaborative, proactive attitude.
