LGV Driver – Tail Lift & RCV Cover

About the role

Veolia is seeking a reliable LGV driver to join its waste collection team in Exeter. The role involves operating a tail‑lift vehicle, handling collections and ensuring safe transport of waste in line with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 (Cat C) LGV with tail‑lift to collect waste from designated sites.
• Perform daily vehicle checks, record any defects and keep logs up to date.
• Load and unload bins of varying sizes and weights safely.
• Follow all traffic laws, Veolia health & safety policies and waste‑handling procedures.
• Occasionally work weekends or provide RCV cover when required.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) driving licence.
• Current CPC or Digital Driver Card.
• Strong time‑management and a “can‑do” attitude.
• Ability to work 48 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, starting at 06:00 am.
