Logistics Manager – Food Manufacturing & Distribution

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to lead logistics operations in a busy food manufacturing and distribution environment. You will be responsible for the smooth, cost‑effective movement of goods from order receipt to final delivery while maintaining high levels of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end logistics processes, continuously improving efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
• Monitor KPIs, identify improvement opportunities and act on them.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for transport, warehousing and inventory issues, resolving them quickly.
• Monitor daily logistics activity, warehouse throughput and inbound/outbound movements, addressing delays and capacity risks.
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including customer deliveries, supplier collections and inter‑site stock transfers.
• Maintain relationships with transport providers, hauliers and 3PL partners to ensure service level compliance.
• Coordinate inter‑site stock movements, confirming warehouse capacity and scheduling transfers.
• Maintain logistics schedules and planning systems, aligning activity with business priorities.
• Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Warehouse teams for seamless operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing logistics in food manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong understanding of transport coordination, warehousing and stock control.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
