Logistics Operative

About the role

The Logistics Operative supports manufacturing operations at Siemens Gamesa’s blade facility, handling wind turbine blades, related components, machinery and equipment. The role ensures safe movement, accurate storage and maintains a tidy work environment while collaborating with production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate specialist blade‑handling and material‑handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Move, position and place blades, components and machinery both internally and externally within the facility.
• Support other production areas as required and maintain housekeeping of the work area.
• Clean and maintain machines and workspaces to ensure a safe environment.
• Use SAP and inventory‑management systems to record material movements and maintain stock accuracy.
• Identify and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives for safer and more efficient logistics processes.

Required profile

• Previous experience in logistics, warehouse, manufacturing or material‑handling environments.
• Basic experience with SAP or other inventory‑management systems.
• Valid Forklift Operator Certification and proven safe operation of material‑handling equipment.
• Safety‑first mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors, meet tight deadlines and collaborate effectively within a team.
