Maintenance Engineer – Double Days Shift (Mon‑Fri)

About the role

A well‑established manufacturer in Basingstoke is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support a highly automated production environment. You will be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on a variety of process and production equipment, helping to maximise reliability and minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance (PPM) on manufacturing and automated machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve reactive breakdowns across production and process equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Collaborate with production teams, quality departments and external contractors.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing or automated production environment.
• Engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent).
• Proven ability to fault‑find on motors, sensors, drives and control systems.
• Experience working with PLCs is desirable.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, regulated setting such as food, pharmaceutical or medical manufacturing.
