Maintenance Lead

About the role

Our client, a growing FMCG manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance Lead for a day‑shift role. You will head a small team of maintenance technicians, mentor apprentices and ensure reliable operation of production machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, delegating tasks and reporting progress.
• Plan and execute both reactive and preventive maintenance on a variety of production equipment.
• Manage projects, improvements and machine moves, including installation of new machinery and refurbishment of existing assets.
• Carry out programming activities and produce technical reports analysing breakdown causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive practical solutions.

Required profile

• Time‑served, multi‑skilled professional with a strong electrical background (approximately 50:50 electrical/mechanical).
• Basic PLC experience; knowledge of the 18th Edition wiring regulations is advantageous.
• Previous supervisory experience is essential.
• Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments preferred.
• Willingness to work the day‑shift system.
