Maintenance Manager – Re‑Let Operations

About the role

DWP Housing Partnership is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead its Re‑Let operations. You will be responsible for preparing void properties for new tenants, ensuring compliance, quality and timely hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Secure all required certifications (EPC, Gas, NIC, Asbestos) before hand‑over.
• Coordinate contractors and arrange asbestos surveys to meet deadlines.
• Conduct pre‑ and final property inspections, manage tenant expectations, charges and deposit deductions.
• Resolve disputes, coordinate repairs and support tenants with post‑move‑in issues.
• Lead, develop and appraise a team of ~35 operatives, overseeing performance and fleet management.
• Review invoices, monitor costs and ensure operational efficiency.
• Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety standards and address structural or regulatory concerns.
• Maintain accurate property records and collaborate closely with the Lettings Manager on readiness timelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property maintenance or property management.
• Strong leadership experience managing operational teams.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and maintenance best practice.
• Excellent organisation, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
