Management Accountant - Interim

About the role

Pure Resourcing Solutions is seeking a Management Accountant on a six‑month fixed‑term contract, with the possibility of extending to twelve months. Working hybrid from Chelmsford, you will report to the Financial Controller and help ensure the finance function runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse management accounts and month‑end financial statements.
• Process payment approvals, journal entries and quarterly returns.
• Perform income reconciliations and support debt management activities.
• Assist with year‑end audit preparation and provide documentation for auditors.
• Oversee and mentor the Finance Assistant, driving efficiency across the team.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with strong month‑end and financial accounting experience.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
• Capable of managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience using Sage accounting software (advantageous).
