Mandarin speaking Private banking Relationship Manager - Mortgage

About the role

This position supports the Private Banking team by managing mortgage solutions for high‑net‑worth clients. The role requires fluency in Mandarin and English and involves end‑to‑end mortgage case handling, client liaison and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive support to achieve departmental objectives.
• Manage mortgage applications from enquiry through to completion.
• Assist clients and fellow Relationship Managers with mortgage enquiries and lending solutions.
• Liaise with solicitors, valuers, brokers and internal departments to facilitate applications.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of mortgage products, policies, procedures and systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and customer experience.
• Work with other front‑office teams to generate business leads and create synergy.
• Support planning and execution of client events and marketing activities where appropriate.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably finance‑related.
• Solid experience in the UK mortgage industry or private banking.
• Good knowledge of UK Buy‑to‑Let and residential mortgage products and operations.
• Hands‑on mortgage case‑management experience is highly desirable.
• CeMAP qualification preferred; CFA, CAIA or FRM advantageous.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Team player able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
