Manufacturing Digitalisation SPOC

About the role

Ford Halewood Transmissions Plant is undergoing a digital transformation and is looking for a Manufacturing Digitalisation SPOC to lead the adoption and improvement of digital tools across the factory floor. Reporting through Randstad RIS, you will act as the bridge between IT, data science, and manufacturing teams to deliver measurable efficiency gains.

Key responsibilities

• Support development, deployment and maintenance of digital manufacturing solutions such as eFPS, IIOT, DWT Wrapper, DCC, PCC and BCC dashboards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create and execute a digital transformation roadmap focused on waste reduction and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Data Science and AI teams to integrate predictive analytics into production processes.
• Identify and implement Industry 4.0 and automation opportunities that enhance performance.
• Establish governance and change‑management processes for internally built digital tools, ensuring security and sustainability.
• Define, track and report KPIs to measure the impact of digital initiatives.
• Represent Halewood in European digitalisation forums and share best practices across plants.
• Occasionally support Plant IT operations and attend innovation workshops or external events.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably with digital transformation, Industry 4.0 or process improvement projects.
• Strong understanding of how digital tools can be applied to mechanical assembly lines.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both IT and shop‑floor audiences.

• Permanent contract with a competitive salary of £46,587.88 per year (including 35 % holiday bonus).
• Hybrid shift pattern: Monday‑Thursday 7:00‑15:30, Friday 7:00‑12:30.
