Marine, Cargo & Logistics Insurance Apprenticeship 2027

About the role

Howden, a global insurance group, offers a permanent apprenticeship in Marine, Cargo and Logistics Insurance based in London, starting in September 2027. You will work in the office at least four days a week and live within commuting distance. The 18-month programme develops technical knowledge, professional skills and confidence, leading to a Level 3 Insurance apprenticeship qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate across different areas of Marine, Cargo and Logistics insurance during the programme.
• Learn how businesses use insurance to protect ships, cargo and transport operations.
• Support the team with processing insurance information and client requests.
• Learn how an insurance policy moves from enquiry through placement, servicing and renewal.
• Keep systems and client records up to date.

Required profile

• No insurance experience needed; training is provided.
• Full and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
• Lived permanently in the UK for the last 3 years.
• Grade C/4 in GCSE English and Maths.
• Not already holding a qualification that significantly overlaps with this apprenticeship.
