M&BD Manager, Financial Institutions Sector (DAB and FinTech)

About the role

Hogan Lovells is looking for an M&BD Manager for its Financial Institutions Sector (FIS), with a particular focus on Digital Assets and Blockchain (DAB) and FinTech. The role works alongside the Financial Institutions Sector Head, the Lead Partner for Future of Finance, the Partner co-chairs for DAB, the Global Heads for FinTech and the Head of M&BD FIS. It is based in London, 35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm, with up to 40% of time working from home.

Key responsibilities

• Develop M&BD plans, budgets and pitch strategies for the FIS sector with the DAB and FinTech leadership team, and monitor progress against them.
• Manage responses to RFPs, customised pitches and presentations, advise on new business opportunities and prepare pitch teams with post-pitch reviews.
• Build client toolkits, follow up with partners and lead growth for the FinTech Mentor Program.
• Lead cross-practice events for FIS clients, including the annual flagship Digital Assets Summit in London, and collaborate with PR to raise the profile of partners and propositions.
• Manage sponsorship relationships with key industry bodies and build the business case for sponsorship approval.
• Share M&BD knowledge internally, support the rollout of the firm's deal management system and contribute to wider BD projects such as lateral recruitment.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a marketing and business development role in a professional services firm.
• Experience of practice or sector marketing and exposure to financial services preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills, strong influencing and persuasion skills, and a high level of initiative.
