National Account Executive

About the role

We are seeking a sales‑driven National Account Executive to join Vegetarian Express’s Field Sales Team in Watford. Reporting to the Senior National Account Manager, you will provide proactive sales presence for our largest customers, combining field visits with head‑office activities to drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Senior National Account Manager in achieving monthly sales and margin targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships at the unit level, delivering growth through proposition selling.
• Conduct customer visits at least three days per week and attend head‑office meetings, QBRs and monthly customer reviews.
• Stand in for the line manager at internal meetings when required.
• Partner with customers to understand their growth plans and offer practical solutions that drive margin and sales.
• Maintain accurate business reporting and customer records using company data‑management systems.
• Monitor competitor activity to ensure customers receive the best local and national solutions.
• Collaborate with telesales and customer service teams to provide a best‑in‑class customer experience.
• Identify and qualify inbound business development opportunities.
• Represent the brand at local events, trade shows and customer occasions.

Required profile

• Sales‑driven individual with a proactive attitude.
• Willingness to work field‑based with regular travel to customer sites.
• Ability to maintain high levels of customer interaction and support.
• Strong relationship‑building skills across chefs, operations, purchasing and category teams.
• Comfortable using data and insight to identify commercial opportunities.
