National Account Manager – Food Brand (London, Hybrid)

About the role

We are partnering with an iconic food brand to recruit a National Account Manager who will own and grow relationships with a top‑four UK grocery retailer and a fast‑growing secondary account. Reporting to the UK Head of Sales, you will be responsible for joint business planning, P&L ownership and driving volume and value growth across the assigned accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Own and develop the relationship with a major UK grocery retailer, delivering sustainable volume and value growth.
• Manage a second, dynamic account with a focus on commercial development and new‑business acquisition.
• Build and execute joint business plans, negotiate terms and promotional programmes.
• Collaborate with the distributor network and internal teams to align market strategy and execution.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer performance to identify new opportunities.
• Support trade‑marketing and promotional initiatives, preparing forecasts, reports and performance analyses.
• Represent the brand’s values and commercial positioning in all customer interactions.

Required profile

• National account management experience within FMCG, with direct ownership of a Top 4 UK grocery retailer.
• Proven track record of delivering against commercial targets with P&L accountability.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to influence senior buyers.
• Analytical capability – comfortable working with sales data, forecasting and performance reporting.
• Fluent English.
