Night Shift Engineer

About the role

The Night Shift Engineer will ensure production machinery runs smoothly in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment. Working the night shift (Sunday‑Thursday 21:00‑06:00) you will be the first line of defence against equipment downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance to keep machinery at optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults quickly.
• Collaborate with the production team to implement engineering solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects and root‑cause analysis.
• Provide technical assistance during equipment installations and upgrades.

Required profile

• Experienced maintenance engineer, preferably from a manufacturing background.
• Recognised engineering qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong technical ability in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Proactive approach with a commitment to safety standards.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
