Nighttime HGV Class 1 Driver

About the role

AO.com is looking for a reliable HGV Class 1 driver to join its night‑shift team in Crewe. You will be responsible for delivering goods safely and on time to one of the company’s 17 UK depots, working 8‑hour night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 HGV on night routes across the UK.
• Load, unload and secure goods to ensure they arrive in pristine condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and electronic tachograph records.
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
• Report any vehicle issues or delivery discrepancies promptly.

Required profile

• Current and valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Valid DIGI‑TACHO device.
• No more than six penalty points and no disqualifying codes (IN, DR, DD).
• Strong command of English.
• Good knowledge of the UK road network and punctuality.
