Part-Time Careers and Employability Officer

About the role

The Careers and Employability Officer will deliver high‑quality career education, advice and guidance to students at Bath Spa University’s Canary Wharf campus. Working within the Careers and Employability team, you will support students at all stages of their career journey, helping them build confidence, develop employability skills and navigate the job market.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional careers information, advice and guidance across Business & Management, Computing and Health & Social Care.
• Deliver one‑to‑one appointments, drop‑in sessions and workshops on CV writing, interview preparation and job‑search strategies.
• Design, deliver and evaluate employability workshops and curriculum‑based activities.
• Support student inductions, open days and recruitment events, promoting careers services.
• Maintain accurate records in Target Connect and ensure compliance with university policies.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience providing careers, employability advice, coaching and CV support.
• Proven ability to run workshops and engage diverse student groups.
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
