Part‑time Careers Advisor (CIAG) – Prison Setting

About the role
We are looking for a part‑time CIAG Adviser to work within a prison environment, helping inmates develop the skills, confidence and aspirations needed for a fresh start. You will provide tailored career coaching, workshops and personalised action plans to support their transition beyond custody.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a prisoner caseload and meet personal and team targets.
- Record all interactions on the relevant Justice case‑management and MI systems.
- Develop and document Learning and Work Plans with SMART goals and actions.
- Deliver career‑coaching workshops and one‑to‑one sessions to support prisoners’ employment aspirations.
- Monitor and report on performance indicators such as number of prisoners seen and progress made.

- Resilient and able to work in a challenging prison environment.
- Empathetic with strong interpersonal skills.
- Adaptable and able to manage a varied caseload.
- Committed to reducing re‑offending and supporting community reintegration.

- Competitive salary £26,351‑£29,944 per annum pro‑rata.
