About the role
Hestia is seeking two part‑time Housing Coordinators to manage its refuge buildings in Croydon and Merton. You will play a central role in creating safe, welcoming environments for individuals rebuilding their lives after domestic abuse.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of refuge sites, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance and contractor work to keep buildings secure and dignified.
- Maintain accurate records using computer‑based systems and manage financial information related to site budgets.
- Work closely with refuge teams, local partners and neighbours to foster positive relationships.
- Support safeguarding processes and uphold the organisation’s PIPE standards.
Required profile
- Good general education or equivalent experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in housing or supported accommodation settings.
- Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and basic maintenance.
- Willingness to learn and align with Hestia’s values of equity and inclusion.
Required skills
- Proficiency with computer‑based record‑keeping systems.
- Ability to analyse basic financial information.
- Basic maintenance and health‑and‑safety knowledge.
