Part‑Time Practice Accountant (3 days/week)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Practice Accountant to join a well‑established accountancy and business advisory firm in Fleet. Working three days a week, you will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations for a portfolio of small limited companies, while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end statutory accounts for small limited companies in line with FRS 102 Section 1A.
• Review bookkeeping records and trial balances for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and resolve accounting issues before finalising accounts.
• Prepare and submit accounts to Companies House where required.
• Produce corporation tax computations and complete CT600 returns.
• Ensure all work complies with current UK accounting standards and internal quality procedures.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience preparing accounts to FRS 102 1A in a UK practice environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for direct client liaison.
• Qualified or part‑qualified (AAT, ACA, ACCA) with relevant practice experience.

Required skills

• FRS 102 (Section 1A) accounting standards.
• Corporation tax computations and CT600 filing.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
