Payroll Benefits Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a Payroll Benefits Advisor to join a luxury retail brand’s finance team in Central London. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will manage a high‑volume payroll of over 1,500 staff across head office and stores, ensuring accurate and timely payments.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll for 1,500+ employees, handling salaries, variable cash, overtime, and statutory deductions.
• Set up and maintain employee data in SAP HR, including starters, leavers, amendments, sickness, maternity/paternity, and benefits.
• Guarantee data quality in SAP HR to enable error‑free payroll runs and seamless integration with related tools.
• Produce monthly reports for benefit providers and support internal HR queries on pay, tax, NI, and benefits.
• Collaborate with the HR team to ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation.
• Provide guidance to employees via the intranet on payroll and benefits information.
• Undertake any additional duties required to support the payroll function.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience processing high‑volume UK payrolls.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and best practices.
• Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines and maintain data integrity.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with employees and benefit providers.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model based in Central London.

Required skills

• SAP HR (or equivalent HRIS) for payroll administration.
• Workday experience (highly beneficial).
