About the role
We are looking for a People Advisor to join our Support Office in Shoreditch, London. The role will act as the first point of contact for employee relations across our network of nurseries, supporting managers and staff to create a positive, compliant workplace.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the trusted employee‑relations partner for Regional Directors and Nursery Managers.
- Coach and up‑skill managers on absence, performance, probations and grievance processes.
- Develop toolkits, templates and training to enable manager self‑service.
- Guide new managers through onboarding and support People Assistants with administrative delivery.
- Deliver training sessions and attend regional meetings to ensure policy consistency.
- Act as a wellbeing champion, advising on occupational health and mental‑health support.
- Drive culture and inclusion initiatives that improve retention and employee experience.
- Provide up‑to‑date legal advice, including upcoming Employment Rights Act changes, to minimise risk.
- Maintain compliant people policies and support organisational change such as restructures or redundancies.
- Serve as the HiBob HRIS super‑user, ensuring data integrity, conducting audits and improving system processes.
- Ensure all people operations align with safeguarding and health‑and‑safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the wider People team to simplify processes, enhance automation and future‑proof HR services.
- Use data and feedback to identify trends, recommend policy updates and challenge decisions constructively.
- Model company values and champion a hassle‑free employee experience.
Required profile
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or People Advisor with a strong focus on employee relations.
- Experience working in a multi‑site organisation, preferably within the early‑years or education sector.
- Demonstrated ability to coach managers and build capability across teams.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and the Employment Rights Act.
Required skills
- HiBob HRIS (system administration, data audits, process improvement).
- Employment law expertise, including upcoming Employment Rights Act updates.
- HR policy development and change‑management experience.
