Perils Surveyor (Remote – South West England)

About the role
The specialist national surveying practice is looking for a Perils Surveyor to manage a portfolio of domestic and commercial loss claims. Working remotely from a home base, you will cover the South Wales and South West England region, handling claims from initial assessment through to final settlement.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of domestic and commercial property loss claims, typically ranging from £20,000 to £100,000.
- Project‑manage each loss from initial survey to final settlement on a cradle‑to‑grave basis.
- Prepare detailed loss reports and valuations for insurers and loss‑adjusting practices.
- Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with industry standards and company procedures.
Required profile
- Proven track record handling domestic and/or commercial property perils losses.
- Ideally MCIOB or MRICS qualified, or working towards such qualification.
- Relevant experience in insurance claims within surveying.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
