Planner / Senior Planner – Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Planner or Senior Planner to join a respected town‑planning consultancy in Birmingham. The role offers a hybrid working model and the chance to work on high‑profile mixed‑use, tall building, strategic land, industrial and retail projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop planning strategies for a variety of complex projects across the Midlands.
• Prepare and submit planning applications, reports and supporting documentation.
• Engage with clients, local authorities and stakeholders to secure planning approvals.
• Support the growth of the Midlands team by building a personal client base.
• Contribute to the consultancy’s reputation by delivering high‑quality, innovative planning solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience in town or urban planning within the Midlands.
• Ambitious, motivated and passionate about delivering successful planning outcomes.
• Desire to progress towards an Associate role and expand a professional network.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of the UK planning system and local authority processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
