Portfolio Fund Manager

About the role

Join an award‑winning, employee‑owned investment management firm in Manchester as a Portfolio Fund Manager. You will work closely with the Head of Investment Management and a highly regarded team to co‑manage multi‑asset portfolio funds and model portfolios, shaping a values‑led investment proposition.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑manage the firm’s multi‑asset collective portfolio funds and a range of model portfolios.
• Assist with the management and implementation of aligned individual client portfolios.
• Lead proprietary research into collective funds, individual securities and other asset classes.
• Contribute to asset allocation and portfolio construction decisions.
• Help shape and develop the firm’s values‑led investment proposition.
• Generate investment ideas and support stewardship and investment engagement activities.
• Present portfolio performance and strategy to colleagues and external investors.

Required profile

• Ideally CFA Level 2 or PCIAM qualified, or actively working towards one of these designations.
• Proven experience in portfolio management with a strong understanding of multi‑asset portfolio construction.
• Ability to analyse investment opportunities across different asset classes.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
• Clear communication of complex investment concepts to diverse audiences.
