Practice Manager

About the role

An established law firm in East London is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations. This hands‑on role will work closely with partners to drive operational excellence, improve processes and support staff across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the firm’s daily operational activities.
• Lead and support administrative and support teams.
• Develop and refine internal systems, processes and procedures.
• Manage HR administration, recruitment coordination and staff onboarding.
• Provide compliance support, liaising with COLP/COFA as required.
• Handle facilities management, supplier relationships and office management.
• Monitor budgets and produce operational reports.
• Support strategic projects and business improvement initiatives.
• Maintain an exceptional experience for clients and employees.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Practice Manager, Office Manager or Operations Manager within a legal environment.
• Strong organisational and project‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated experience managing people and improving operational processes.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a busy professional setting.
