About the role
The Principal Moderator and Content Author will lead the moderation of internally‑assessed units for the T Level Craft and Design Furniture Maker (Upholstery) occupational specialism. Working remotely for Pearson Plc, you will ensure assessment standards align with specifications and support examiner standardisation.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor the quality and consistency of internally assessed units, modules and components.
- Oversee the standardisation process for examiners, providing guidance and feedback.
- Ensure compliance with Pearson policies, confidentiality requirements and safeguarding procedures.
- Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions and meet all agreed deadlines.
- Communicate promptly with centres and raise any concerns about malpractice or safeguarding.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in educational moderation or assessment within a vocational qualification framework.
- Strong understanding of T Level specifications and assessment criteria.
- Professional integrity and ability to represent Pearson positively.
- Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Required skills
- Access to personal IT equipment capable of running Pearson software, with up‑to‑date malware protection and a secure internet connection.
