Product Development Engineer – Construction Chemicals

About the role

Join a fast‑growing specialist distributor that pioneers sustainable solutions for highways and infrastructure. As a Product Development Engineer you will work hands‑on with materials, spray equipment and testing rigs, turning client feedback into innovative products used across the UK and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Run product demonstrations, technical presentations and on‑site trials.
• Train clients on correct application of construction chemicals and specialist spray machinery.
• Conduct practical testing, prototyping and report results with clear technical documentation.
• Perform market research, competitive analysis and source development partners.
• Collaborate with laboratories, universities and internal R&D teams on new product projects.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree or postgraduate technical qualification.
• Experience in industrial or contracting environments dealing with construction chemicals, road reinstatement or resin‑based products.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel freely across the UK and Europe (full UK right‑to‑work required).
• European language skills are a plus.
