Product Governance VP - Global Markets

About the role

This senior position supports the Global Markets Fixed Income business of a leading investment bank. You will drive the approval and ongoing oversight of new products across Sales & Trading, ensuring they meet risk and governance standards before reaching the market.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the New Product Committee (NPC) process for product approvals.
• Collaborate with sales, trading and support teams to develop business cases and supporting documentation.
• Enhance product governance frameworks, including standards, booking arrangements, trader mandates and data lineage.
• Conduct post‑launch product reviews to verify compliance with risk appetite.
• Work closely with Risk, Operations, Legal, Compliance and IT to resolve approval conditions.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Fixed Income products such as bonds, repo, credit, derivatives and FX.
• 5+ years of experience in a governance role within financial services; regulatory knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent organisational abilities and clear communication skills.
• Proven track record of improving processes and managing change across front‑ and back‑office teams.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to build relationships across multiple functions.
