Production Planner – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Production Planner to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Dartford. You will be part of a forward‑thinking team that values quality, innovation and employee development, helping to keep production flowing smoothly and meet customer lead times.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily production orders across factory cells.
• Maintain up‑to‑date shop‑floor schedules and provide lead times for new customer orders.
• Support the department with administrative tasks during busy periods.
• Monitor stock levels to ensure they meet customer requirements.
• Track late orders, prioritize workload and communicate urgent orders to the factory.
• Collaborate with supervisors to maximise efficiency and output.
• Liaise with supervisors to ensure daily production demands are met.

Required profile

• Strong computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
• Reliable, conscientious and hard‑working.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks.
• Good analytical abilities.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £13.10.
• Working hours 08:00‑16:30, Monday to Friday.
• 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service.
