Project Manager – London Market Insurance (8+ yrs)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with deep London Market insurance expertise to lead business and technology transformation programmes for a specialty insurance client. The role involves end‑to‑end delivery of projects across underwriting, claims, policy administration, regulatory reporting and data transformation, working closely with stakeholders, technology teams and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of projects within the London Market insurance domain, managing scope, timelines, budgets, risks and dependencies.
• Collaborate with underwriters, claims teams, brokers, operations, compliance and technology groups to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Define project plans, RAID logs, governance forums, status reports and executive dashboards.
• Coordinate internal teams, third‑party vendors and offshore delivery resources.
• Facilitate workshops for requirements gathering, process mapping, solution design, testing and implementation planning.
• Oversee change management, business readiness, training, communication and adoption activities.
• Track financials, resource utilisation, delivery progress and benefits realisation.
• Support UAT planning, defect and release management, and post‑implementation support.

Required profile

• 8+ years of project management experience within London Market or specialty insurance.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑disciplinary projects and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong understanding of insurance processes such as underwriting, claims, policy administration, bordereaux, reinsurance and regulatory reporting.
• Experience delivering projects using Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methodologies.
