Property Inspection Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Property Inspection Consultant to join our busy Residential Lettings department in Upminster, Essex. You will spend most of your day visiting properties, carrying out condition inspections, producing detailed reports and liaising with landlords and tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Compile comprehensive condition reports for new tenancies using bespoke iPad software.
• Re‑visit properties mid‑tenancy to assess condition, report findings and inform landlords.
• Discuss maintenance issues with tenants and coordinate with Property Managers to resolve them.
• Conduct checkout inspections at the end of tenancies and produce final reports.
• Mediate disputes over wear and tear, arrange deductions from deposits, and prepare documentation for independent adjudication when needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar role within Residential Lettings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate reports.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with landlords, tenants and internal teams.

What we offer

• Basic salary £28,000‑£30,000 per year, plus bonuses and profit share (OTE £30,000‑£32,000).
• Full‑time permanent contract, Monday‑Friday 9:00‑17:00.
• 21 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing with service length.
