Property Manager – 12‑Month Maternity Cover

About the role

Our Residential Lettings team at Bidwells is seeking an experienced Property Manager to cover a 12‑month maternity leave. Based in Cambridge, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of quality residential properties, acting as the main point of contact for landlords, tenants and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular property inspections and report findings to landlords and tenants.
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance schedules and contractor visits.
• Handle daily queries, resolve issues promptly and maintain professional communication.
• Update property management systems, process invoices and monitor maintenance spend.
• Ensure compliance with Gas Safety, EICR, EPC, Right‑to‑Rent, deposit protection and other regulations.
• Manage move‑ins and move‑outs, including inventories, utility notifications and deposit negotiations.
• Prepare and serve legal notices, chase arrears and stay informed on legislative changes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property management or a closely related role.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Full driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience using property management software.
