About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Underwriter to join our US Property Treaty team in London. The role provides exposure to both residential and commercial property treaty risks and offers a clear pathway to develop into a fully qualified underwriter.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in underwriting new and renewal catastrophe risk and excess‑of‑loss business.
- Apply rating tools and catastrophe modelling to support pricing decisions.
- Support the team in managing US Property Treaty portfolios across residential and commercial lines.
Required profile
- Experience or exposure as an Assistant Underwriter, broker or catastrophe modeller.
- Interest in progressing within a Lloyd’s‑style underwriting environment.
- Willingness to be upskilled and take on increasing underwriting responsibilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency with rating tools.
- Knowledge of catastrophe modelling.
